# Stoke-on-Trent's Forgotten Pauper's Graveyard - Chell Workhouse

Did you know a nearly forgotten pauper's graveyard is hidden in the middle of a housing estate in Chell, Stoke-on-Trent? 

Opposite the old Chell Workhouse, later Westcliffe Hospital, this burial ground quietly remembers hundreds of individuals who lived and died anonymously in poverty. 

It is a piece of local history that many residents may never have known existed.
