This is my Stoke-on-Trent.
Not the one the moaners on Facebook complain about.
Not the one the local rag tries to convince us is broken, divided, or beyond saving.

Yesterday's People’s Parade was everything that makes this city special. We’re not perfect, we’re not rich, but we are creative, resilient, and we know how to have a good time!

All ages, backgrounds, colours, abilities, faiths, sexualities – everyone came together for a full day of joy, laughter and dancing in the rain (and wow, did it rain!). But did it stop us? Not a chance.

From incredible costumes and performers to the buzzing Party in the Park – delicious food, brilliant music, and community spirit bursting at the seams. Then off up to Piccadilly, where the party carried on into the night with live DJs and soaked-through smiles.

Thank you to everyone who organised it, supported it and showed up to celebrate.
