**This is my Stoke-on-Trent.**  
Not the one the moaners on Facebook complain about.  
Not the one the local rag tries to convince us is broken, divided, or beyond saving.

Yesterday's People’s Parade was *everything* that makes this city special. We’re not perfect, we’re not rich, but we are creative, resilient, and we know how to have a good time!

All ages, backgrounds, colours, abilities, faiths, sexualities – everyone came together for a full day of joy, laughter and dancing in the rain (and wow, did it rain!). But did it stop us? Not a chance.

From incredible costumes and performers to the buzzing Party in the Park – delicious food, brilliant music, and community spirit bursting at the seams. Then off up to Piccadilly, where the party carried on into the night with live DJs and soaked-through smiles.

Thank you to everyone who organised it, supported it and showed up to celebrate.
