The 2027 Stoke-on-Trent Calendar Is Now Available to Pre-Order
Every year I tell myself I’ll get the calendar sorted early. Every year I’m still choosing between photos at midnight. This year, I’m pleased to report, it’s actually done, and the 2027 Stoke-on-Trent calendar is now open for pre-orders.
Twelve months of Stoke-on-Trent
The calendar brings together twelve of my favourite photographs of the city and the wider area, taken while wandering the back streets, towpaths and hilltops with my camera over the past year.

You’ll find bottle ovens against a stormy sky, the D Road lit up with light trails after dark, grand civic buildings, a moated castle from above, autumn parks and a snowy winter scene to see the year out. Each month comes with a short history caption, so you’ll learn something about the place on your wall while you’re checking when the bins go out.

January, for example, features the A500. Known to every Stokie as the D Road, it was planned in 1961 and built in stages, with the Queensway section through Stoke opening in 1977. It now carries around 60,000 vehicles a day, and on a clear night it’s one of the most surprisingly beautiful sights in the city.

How the pre-order works
Pre-ordering simply means you buy now and I post it to you once the print run is complete. Ordering early secures your copy and helps me get the numbers right with the printer, so nobody misses out.
Pre-orders are open now until the end of November, and calendars will be posted out at the beginning of December, comfortably in time for Christmas. If it’s going in a stocking, you can relax.

The perfect gift for Stoke lovers
If you’ve got family who’ve moved away and still talk about oatcakes with misty eyes, this is the present for them. It’s also a lovely one for history buffs, proud Stokies, and anyone who thinks the Potteries doesn’t get the credit it deserves. (They’re right, by the way.)
Shops and businesses: stock the calendar
If you run a shop, café, gallery or business and would like to sell the calendar, I offer a generous trade discount on orders of 10 or more, leaving you plenty of room for resale. Drop me a message, email me at trhstokie@gmail.com or give me a ring and we’ll sort it out.
Supporting local history
Every calendar sold directly supports my work as a local photographer and historian, and helps me keep sharing the stories, buildings and hidden corners of Stoke-on-Trent. Thank you, as always, for being part of it!
